China Glaze - LOL

This purple prismatic polish from China Glaze was the perfect choice for today. I was in a rush, so I slapped on two easy coats of LOL (no base/top coat) and quickly took a picture before I left home. Indoors it may look kinda boring, but outside in the sun? Absolutely breathtaking.

Chunked Shawn

Hmm, I think my nails never looked this weird. Two coats of Zoya - Shawn, one coat of Kleancolor - Chunky Holo Black and a layer of matte top coat (I'm loving the matte texture these days!). I kinda like this mani in all its weirdness.. Tell me, what do you think?

Thanks for watching, enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Black & Gold

There are many ways to spice up black nails; this time I decided to add some stamping. I used China Glaze - 2030 and a floral design from Konad plate M73. I wondered how it would look matte, so I also applied one coat of Essence's matte top coat. I like this mani so much! The matte finish makes it look so, uhm.. interesting? ;)

a england - Camelot

I've been on a quest for the perfect black nail polish for quite some time now, but that quest is over. Meet Camelot from a england. Camelot is blacker than black with a glossy finish, perfectly opaque in two coats and it applies like butter. Just perfect. As a teenager I went through a black nail polish phase, well.. Camelot easily pushed me into that phase again. Black nails rock! 8)
Did you know Adina (the owner and creator of the brand a england) offers free worldwide shipping on all orders from now on? That's really great news, 'cause everyone should have the chance to try (one of) these wonderful nail polishes.

Kleancolor - Bite Me

Eat your heart out, Ruby Pumps! This is one coat of Kleancolor - Bite Me. Yes, you read that right, one coat. Can you believe how pigmented this glittery red is? I really hope two layers of base coat will prevent my nails from staining. :o The formula of Bite Me was a bit thick, but manageable. An amazing red, so sparkly... love it!

That's it for today, thanks for watching!

Catrice - Pool Party At Night & BM-224

Today everything seemed to go wrong. Right after my nails were done a wandering rhinestone managed to stick to the wet layer of top coat and I couldn't get it off without ruining half the nail; of course my camera battery died and it started to rain like crazy. But after redoing the ruined nail, the battery was half charged ánd the sun was shining. Happy end. :)

I'm so glad I fixed that one nail instead of removing everything, 'cause I love how this looks! I applied two coats of Catrice - Pool Party At Night and stamped with Konad Special Polish in White and a pattern from Bundle Monster plate BM-224. I also added a couple of yellow rhinestones and a layer of top coat.

Sultry Blue

I was in the mood for blue so I dug out this gorgeous blue creme from China Glaze, Bermuda Breakaway. I also wanted to use a glitter polish, but without covering the whole nail. You know how much I love sparkly tips, well, this time I wanted the sparkles at the base of the nail. The gold glitter I used is Sultry Diva from Color Club. I'm a fan, what a nice glitter polish and combined with this blue? Love. Don't get me started on the clean up though. All those glitters around the cuticle.. they drove me nuts! Ah well, it was definitely worth the extra effort. ^_^

Berry Fowl Play

Yesterday I covered my nails with Just Berried from Catrice. It's not the first time I'm wearing this berry coloured creme polish; that means I like it a lot! But sometimes you just feel the urge to add something, so this morning I looked through my Helmer for inspiration. And there it was: Fowl Play. Oh and ah! I almost forgot I owned this stunner from Orly. I decided to use it for some accent nails and well, I love how this looks! Can't wait to wear Fowl Play on all nails though. It's a miracle of a polish... :L

Thanks for watching and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

MOAR Green!

There's no such thing as too much green, right? So today I'm showing you another green mani. I used one of my cherished gems from Nfu Oh: #56. The green base of #56 is packed with duochrome flakies ánd micro-glitter. Awesomesauce! Due to the sheerness and the dirty green base colour (not the prettiest in my opinion) I always layer it over another polish. This time I applied one coat of #56 over two coats of Essence - Fatal (black creme). A match made in heaven, if you ask me. The application was easy, the drying time average. I didn't use a top coat.

Orly - Meet Me Under The Mistletoe

Today I would like to show you an amazing polish, without a doubt one of the prettiest greens I own: Meet Me Under The Mistletoe from Orly. I wanted to wear green on my nails, because green is the colour for Depression Awareness Month (Scrangie wrote a great post about it, check it out!). I'm struggling with depression (dysthymia, to be precise) for a while now and I think it's a good thing to raise awareness for this awful illness.

A little more info about this Orly polish: love, love, love it! Those gorgeous little duochrome flakes, I catch myself staring at them all day. I had no application problems, this is three coats, no top coat.
And a little more close up... ♥

Milani - Digital

One of my favourite nail polish collections of all times is the 3D Holographic Collection from Milani. Today I'm showing you Digital. The prismatic effect of this pink polish is truly mesmerizing, I love those rainbowy chunks! Digital never looks dull, not even in low light. And it's nice to wear pink, it's been a while! Applying Digital was easy, I used three coats for complete coverage, no top coat.

Thanks for watching and have a great weekend!

Nicole by OPI - Me + Blue

During my vacation I found a couple of Nicole by OPI polishes in a drugstore. This one looked so pretty in the bottle I couldn't resist. It's called Me + Blue and it's part of the One Less Lonely Girl collection. Me + Blue is a medium blue shimmer polish filled with prismatic glitter. The sun was shy today, but I can tell you the effect of the micro glitter combined with this beautiful blue shade is amazing.

Me + Blue is a bit sheer, I used three coats. The polish dries up gritty, but two layers of top coat made it feel and look a lot better. I wasn't too happy about the new 'perfect stroke brush' though, it's big with uneven bristles, making it hard to not touch the cuticle and sides of the nail. But I really, really like how this polish looks on my nails, so this time it was worth the frustration and extra clean-up. :)
   Talking about blue... ♥

I'm back with Zoya - Apple

                                                                                                                                                                                              Playa Kenepa
That's right, I'm ba-hack! And I'm happy to tell you I had an amazing vacation on Curaçao; relaxing, swimming, snorkeling, sailing, shopping, mountain climbing... we did it all and more! Of course I painted my nails while I was there, but believe it or not, I painted them just once. o_O I guess my nails needed some time off too, lol. The nail polish I used that one time was a great one: sparkly green Apple from Zoya. A fun and cheery colour ánd it matched perfectly with my green bikini! I believe this was three coats, it applied nicely.

Ahh, it feels really great to be blogging again, I missed it and of course I missed my dear readers. ^_^ I hope you're all doing ok!
